Banana Split Dump Cake Recipe

 

Ingredients:

– 3 ripe bananas, sliced

– 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained

– 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

– 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix

– 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

– 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

– 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

– Whipped cream (for serving, optional)

– Maraschino cherries (for garnish, optional)

 

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. Layer the sliced bananas evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.

3. Spoon the drained crushed pineapple over the layer of bananas.

4. Spread the cherry pie filling evenly on top of the crushed pineapple.

5. Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the fruit layers without mixing them.

6. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, ensuring it covers as much of the mix as possible.

7. Sprinkle the chopped walnuts and semisweet chocolate chips evenly over the top.

8. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the cake is cooked through.

9. Serve warm, topped with whipped cream and garnished with maraschino cherries if desired.
