Ingredients

- 2–3 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized chunks)
- 2 cups green beans (trimmed)
- 3 tbsp butter (divided)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- Juice of 1 lemon + lemon zest
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional for a kick)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning (or a mix of oregano, thyme, basil)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
:
- Prep the chicken:
Season the chicken pieces with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. - Cook the green beans:
In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon butter with a drizzle of olive oil.
Add the green beans and sauté for about 3–5 minutes, until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside. - Cook the chicken:
In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter.
Add the seasoned chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked through (about 5–7 minutes).
Add the minced garlic during the last 1–2 minutes of cooking. - Add lemon flavor:
Pour in the lemon juice, add zest, and sprinkle red pepper flakes (if using).
Stir everything to coat the chicken in the lemony butter sauce. - Combine and finish:
Add the green beans back into the skillet. Toss everything together and heat for another minute until well combined and warm. - Garnish & serve:
Top with chopped parsley and lemon slices. Serve warm!
