These buttery, melt-in-your-mouth cookies are lightly sweetened with condensed milk and dusted in a delicate layer of powdered sugar, making them look just like freshly fallen snow! Perfect for the holidays or any time you crave a simple, comforting treat.
Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
½ cup sweetened condensed milk
½ cup powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
¼ teaspoon salt
Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
In a large bowl, beat butter until smooth and creamy.
Add sweetened condensed milk, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract, mixing until light and fluffy.
Gradually add flour and salt, mixing just until combined. The dough will be soft but not sticky.
Step 2: Shape & Chill
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Refrigerate for 30 minutes to help them hold their shape while baking.
Step 3: Bake
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly on the baking sheet.
Step 4: Dust with Powdered Sugar
While still warm, roll the cookies in powdered sugar, coating them completely.
Let them cool completely, then dust with an extra layer of powdered sugar for a snowy finish.
