Ingredients
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional, for added flavor)
Instructions
1️⃣ Prepare the sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together:
- Honey
- Soy sauce
- Minced garlic
- Sesame oil (if using)
Set aside.
2️⃣ Cook the sausage
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook for 3–4 minutes, until browned.
Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside.
3️⃣ Cook the broccoli
In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets.
Sauté for 3 minutes, then add 2–3 tablespoons of water.
Cover and steam for 2–3 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Remove broccoli and set aside.
4️⃣ Cook the shrimp
In the same pan, add the shrimp.
Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Do not overcook.
5️⃣ Combine everything
Return the sausage and broccoli to the pan with the shrimp.
Pour the honey–garlic sauce over everything.
Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and coats all ingredients.
6️⃣ Serve
Serve hot over:
- Rice
- Noodles
- Or enjoy it as a low-carb meal on its own
Optional: Sprinkle sesame seeds or green onions on top.
