Step 1: Bake the Cake

  2. Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.

Step 2: Make the Pudding

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mixes and cold milk until smooth and thickened.
  2. Refrigerate for 5–10 minutes to set.

Step 3: Whip the Cream

  1. In a chilled mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form.

  1. In a clear glass trifle bowl (or large glass dish), start with a layer of cake cubes.
  2. Spoon over a generous layer of chocolate pudding.
