Ingredients:
- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (or pizza dough)
- 8 slices deli ham
- 8 sticks mozzarella or cheddar cheese (or 1 cup shredded cheese)
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
- 1 tbsp butter (optional, for brushing)
- Garlic powder or Italian seasoning (optional, for extra flavor)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll the dough onto a lightly floured surface. If using crescent roll dough, separate it into 8 triangles. If using pizza dough, cut it into 8 equal rectangles.
- Add the filling:
- Place one slice of ham on each piece of dough.
- Add one cheese stick (or a generous spoon of shredded cheese) on top of the ham.
- Roll it up:
- Roll the dough around the ham and cheese, sealing the edges well to prevent the cheese from leaking while baking.
- Optional:
- Beat the egg and brush the tops of the rolls for a golden finish.
- Melt the butter and mix it with garlic powder or Italian seasoning. Brush on top for extra flavor.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and cooked through.
- Serve warm, perfect as a snack, appetizer, or even lunch!
