  • 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat the Oven
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) .
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Cook the Beef
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces with a wooden spoon as it cooks.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
Step 3: Combine Ingredients
  1. Stir in the cooked elbow macaroni , tomato sauce , beef broth , mustard , and chili powder into the skillet with the cooked beef. Mix well until everything is evenly combined.
Step 4: Transfer to Baking Dish
  1. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  2. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.

Step 5: Bake the Casserole

  1. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 20 minutes .
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes , or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Step 6: Add Optional Topping
  1. If desired, sprinkle crushed crackers or crispy onions on top for added crunch before serving.
