For the Bread:
- 1 tube refrigerated pizza dough (or homemade dough)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (plus extra for topping)
- ½ cup pepperoni slices , chopped
- ½ cup cooked Italian sausage , crumbled (optional)
- ¼ cup diced green bell pepper
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- ¼ cup sliced black olives
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp dried oregano
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- ¼ cup unsalted butter , melted 🧈
- 2 cloves garlic , minced
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prep
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) . Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Step 2: Roll Out the Dough
- Unroll the pizza dough on a floured surface and stretch it into a rectangle (about 10×14 inches).
- Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
Step 3: Add the Fillings
- Layer the chopped pepperoni, cooked sausage (if using), bell pepper, red onion, and black olives evenly over the cheese.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, oregano, and the remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
Step 4: Roll & Seal
- Starting from one long side, tightly roll the dough into a log, pinching the seam and ends to seal.
- Place the rolled dough seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 5: Bake
- Bake for 20–25 minutes , until golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.
Step 6: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, and parsley.
Step 7: Finish & Serve
- Brush the garlic butter sauce generously over the baked bread while it’s still warm.
- Slice into thick pieces and serve hot with marinara sauce or ranch for dipping.
