Caramel Nut Bars Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

• 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)

• ½ cup granulated sugar

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• ½ tsp salt

For the Caramel Nut Filling:

• 1 cup unsalted butter

• 1 cup packed brown sugar

• ¼ cup honey or corn syrup

• ¼ cup heavy cream

• 1 tsp vanilla extract

• 2 cups mixed nuts (pecans, almonds, walnuts, or cashews)

Instructions:

1. Preheat & Prepare

• Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

• Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Make the Crust

• In a bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

• Add flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.

• Press evenly into the baking pan and bake for 15 minutes, until lightly golden.

3. Prepare the Caramel Nut Filling

• In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter and brown sugar.

• Stir in honey (or corn syrup) and heavy cream.

• Bring to a gentle boil and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.

• Remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract and nuts.

4. Assemble & Bake

• Pour the caramel nut mixture over the baked crust, spreading evenly.

• Return to the oven and bake for 15 minutes, until bubbly and golden.

5. Cool & Cut

• Let cool completely before slicing into bars.

• For cleaner cuts, chill in the fridge for 30 minutes before slicing.

6. Enjoy!
