The Best Banana Pudding


1 1/2 cups cold milk
1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
4 cups sliced ripe bananas
1/2 (12 oz) package vanilla wafers

In a mixing bowl, combine the cold milk and instant vanilla pudding mix. Whisk until the mixture thickens.
Stir in the sweetened condensed milk and vanilla extract until well combined.
Gently fold in the thawed whipped topping until the mixture is smooth.
In a trifle or serving dish, layer 1/3 of the sliced bananas, 1/3 of the pudding mixture, and 1/3 of the vanilla wafers.
Repeat the layers twice more, ending with a final layer of vanilla wafers on top.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set.
