Enjoy all the flavor of classic fries without the deep-frying! These Baked Parmesan Potato Fries are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with Parmesan, garlic, and herbs. They make a perfect side dish, snack, or party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes

  • 3 tbsp olive oil

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp dried Italian seasoning (optional)

  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

1. Prep the Potatoes

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into even fries or wedges.

  • Soak in a bowl of cold water for 20 minutes to remove excess starch.

  • Drain and pat dry with a clean towel.

2. Season the Fries

  • Place the dried potatoes in a large bowl.

  • Add olive oil, Parmesan, garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning (if using).

  • Toss thoroughly so every fry is evenly coated.

3. Bake to Perfection

  • Arrange fries in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and crispy.

4. Serve & Garnish

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.

  • Serve hot with ketchup, ranch, or garlic aioli.

Tips & Variations

  • Extra Crispiness: Place fries on a wire rack over the baking sheet to allow airflow underneath.

  • Cheesy Upgrade: Add mozzarella or cheddar during the last 5 minutes of baking.

  • Spicy Kick: Sprinkle cayenne or chili powder for some heat.

  • Sweet Potato Version: Swap russets for sweet potatoes for a slightly sweeter, nutrient-packed twist.

These fries are golden, cheesy, and irresistible—perfect alongside burgers, grilled meats, or simply on their own as a satisfying snack.
