Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups warm water (about 110°F / 43°C)
  • 2 tablespoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 ½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Optional: melted butter for brushing

Instructions:

  1. Activate the yeast:
In a large bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Stir gently and let it sit for 5 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  2. Add the wet ingredients:
Mix in the egg and oil (or melted butter) until well combined.
  3. Add the dry ingredients:
Add 3 cups of flour and the salt. Stir until a soft dough starts to form.
Gradually add more flour (up to 1 additional cup) until the dough is soft but not sticky.
  4. Knead the dough:
Knead the dough for 5 minutes on a lightly floured surface, or until smooth and elastic.
  5. Shape the rolls:
Divide the dough into 12–15 equal pieces and shape them into balls.
Place them on a greased baking sheet or in a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  6. Quick rise:
Cover the rolls with a clean towel and let them rise in a warm place for 10–15 minutes, or until puffy.
  7. Bake:
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
  8. Finish:
Brush the tops with melted butter while they’re still warm for extra softness and flavor.

Enjoy your soft, fluffy rolls — ready in just 30 minutes! 🥰
