Honey Garlic Baked Chicken Drumsticks

Ingredients (for 6 drumsticks)

  • 6 chicken drumsticks (about 800 g)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ⅓ cup honey
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or lemon juice)
  • ½ tsp paprika (optional, for color)
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Fresh parsley or sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking dish with foil or parchment paper.
  2. Pat dry the chicken with paper towels, then season with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Make the sauce:
    In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, and olive oil.
  4. Coat the drumsticks:
    Place the chicken in the baking dish and pour the sauce over them, turning to coat evenly.
  5. Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through and spooning the sauce over the chicken to glaze it.
  6. Broil for 3–5 minutes at the end (optional) for a caramelized, sticky finish.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds before serving.
