Steak Marinade

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar or lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2-3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional, for a touch of sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon mustard (optional, for tang)
  • Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl or a resealable plastic bag.
  2. Add the steak and make sure it’s fully coated.
  3. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, ideally 2–4 hours. For tougher cuts, you can go up to 12 hours.
  4. Remove the steak from the marinade and pat it dry before cooking. (This ensures a nice sear.)
  5. Cook on a grill, pan, or oven to your preferred doneness.

💡 Tip: Don’t reuse the marinade as a sauce unless you boil it first to kill any bacteria from raw meat.
