Garlic Butter Steak Bites
Ingredients:
- 500 g (1 lb) sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 3 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme (or fresh sprigs)
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
- Pat steak cubes dry and season generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
- Add steak bites in a single layer (work in batches if needed). Cook 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove from skillet.
- Lower heat to medium, add butter and garlic to the skillet. Sauté 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Return steak bites to the pan, toss in the garlic butter, and garnish with parsley.
🥔 Cheesy Smashed Potatoes
Ingredients:
- 700 g (1.5 lbs) baby potatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar (or mozzarella for extra stretch)
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Fresh chives or parsley, chopped
Instructions:
- Boil potatoes in salted water until fork-tender (about 15–20 min). Drain and let cool slightly.
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Place potatoes on the sheet, then gently smash each one with the bottom of a glass.
- Drizzle with olive oil, season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Bake for 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
- Sprinkle cheeses on top and return to oven for 5 minutes, until melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chives or parsley.
