•3 tablespoons soy sauce

•1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

•1 tablespoon sugar

•1 teaspoon ground black pepper

•1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

•½ teaspoon ginger powder (optional)

•2 tablespoons cornstarch (to thicken the sauce)

•¼ cup water (for cornstarch slurry)
