Pepperoni Calzones 🍕🧀🌿
Golden-brown, puffed-up calzones stuffed with ricotta, mozzarella, pepperoni, and marinara sauce. A homemade pizza pocket baked to perfection!
🍴 Ingredients:
_ 1 can Pillsbury Pizza Crust (blue)
_ 1 bag Sargento Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
_ 1 tub Polly-O Ricotta Cheese (yellow)
_ 1 jar Rao’s Homemade Marinara Sauce
_ 1 package Hormel Pepperoni
_ 1 tsp dried oregano (white ceramic bowl)
_ Flour for dusting
👩🏽🍳 Instructions:
1_ Preheat oven to 400°F. Dust a wooden cutting board with flour.
2_ Roll out pizza dough on the floured board. Cut into 4 equal circles.
3_ On one half of each circle, spread marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, pepperoni slices, and a sprinkle of oregano.
4_ Fold the other half of the dough over the filling. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal. Cut 3 small steam vents on top.
5_ Place calzones on a dark metal baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden-brown and puffed. Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
