  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 medium onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 (14.5 oz) cans green beans, drained (or 4 cups fresh green beans, blanched)

  • 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of mushroom soup

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 cup crispy fried onions (for topping)

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Cook the beef – In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown ground beef with diced onion and garlic. Drain excess fat.

  2. Mix the filling – In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, ½ cup cheese, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir until everything is well coated.

  1. Assemble the casserole – Spread the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top.

  2. Bake – Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, until bubbly and hot.

 

  1. Top & serve – Add crispy fried onions on top and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Serve warm.
