{"id":5412,"date":"2025-08-06T13:46:01","date_gmt":"2025-08-06T13:46:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/?p=5412"},"modified":"2025-08-06T13:46:01","modified_gmt":"2025-08-06T13:46:01","slug":"philly-cheesesteak-pasta","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/index.php\/2025\/08\/06\/philly-cheesesteak-pasta\/","title":{"rendered":"Philly Cheesesteak Pasta"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>1 lb rigatoni or penne pasta<br \/>\n1 lb thinly sliced steak (such as ribeye or sirloin), cut into small strips<br \/>\n2 tablespoons olive oil<br \/>\n1 medium onion, sliced<br \/>\n1 green bell pepper, sliced<br \/>\n1 red bell pepper, sliced<br \/>\n2 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\nSalt and black pepper, to taste<br \/>\n1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce<br \/>\n1 cup beef broth<br \/>\n1 cup heavy cream<br \/>\n2 cups shredded provolone cheese<br \/>\n1\/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese<\/p>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Cook the Pasta:<br \/>\nBring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.<br \/>\nCook the Steak:<br \/>\nIn a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the steak strips with salt and pepper, then add to the skillet. Sear the steak for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.<br \/>\nCook the Vegetables:<br \/>\nIn the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers. Saut\u00e9 for 4-5 minutes, or until they start to soften.<br \/>\nAdd the minced garlic and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant.<br \/>\nMake the Sauce:<br \/>\nReturn the steak to the skillet with the vegetables. Add Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, stirring well to combine.<br \/>\nPour in the heavy cream and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.<br \/>\nCombine with Pasta and Cheese:<br \/>\nAdd the cooked pasta to the skillet, stirring to combine with the steak and veggies.
