It\u2019s better as it sits, and I love it as a snack. This will make 2 quarts.<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ADVERTISSEMENT<\/h4>\n<p>4 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced<\/p>\n<p>1 small onion, thinly sliced<\/p>\n<p>1 cup white vinegar<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 cup water<\/p>\n<p>2 tablespoons sugar<\/p>\n<p>1 teaspoon salt<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 teaspoon black pepper<\/p>\n<p>1\/2 teaspoon garlic powder<\/p>\n<p>1\/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Fresh dill, chopped (optional)<\/p>\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, combine the sliced cucumbers and onions.<\/p>\n<p>In a separate saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer, stirring occasionally, until sugar dissolves.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the vinegar mixture over the cucumbers and onions, and stir to combine.<\/p>\n<p>Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best flavor.<\/p>\n<p>Garnish with fresh dill before serving.
