{"id":3331,"date":"2025-04-02T22:32:02","date_gmt":"2025-04-02T22:32:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/?p=3331"},"modified":"2025-04-02T22:32:02","modified_gmt":"2025-04-02T22:32:02","slug":"wendys-homemade-chili","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/index.php\/2025\/04\/02\/wendys-homemade-chili\/","title":{"rendered":"Wendy\u2019s Homemade Chili"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 lb (500 g) ground beef<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 can (14 oz \/ 400 g) diced tomatoes<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 can (14 oz \/ 400 g) kidney beans, drained and rinsed<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 can (14 oz \/ 400 g) pinto beans, drained and rinsed<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 can (8 oz \/ 200 g) tomato sauce<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1\/2 can (8 oz \/ 200 g) tomato paste<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 medium onion, chopped<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 green bell pepper, chopped<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 2 celery stalks, chopped<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 2 cloves garlic, minced<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 2 cups (500 ml) water<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 tbsp white vinegar<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 tbsp chili powder<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 tsp ground cumin<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 tsp sugar<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1 tsp salt<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 1\/2 tsp black pepper<\/p>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<p>1. Brown the beef: In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.<\/p>\n<p>2. Saut\u00e9 the vegetables: Add the onion, bell pepper, celery, and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>3. Add tomatoes and beans: Stir in the diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and water.<\/p>\n<p>4. Season: Add Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, chili powder, cumin, sugar, salt, and black pepper.<\/p>\n<p>5. Simmer: Reduce the heat and let it cook covered for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p>6.
