{"id":233,"date":"2023-04-11T01:27:15","date_gmt":"2023-04-11T01:27:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/?p=233"},"modified":"2023-04-11T01:27:15","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T01:27:15","slug":"honey-garlic-turkey-wings","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/index.php\/2023\/04\/11\/honey-garlic-turkey-wings\/","title":{"rendered":"HONEY GARLIC TURKEY WINGS"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>INGREDIENTS<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">30 chicken wings<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">2 tablespoons olive oil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Rub:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1 teaspoon salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1\/4 teaspoon black pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1 teaspoon smoked paprika<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1 teaspoon garlic powder<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Honey Garlic Sauce:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1\/4 cup soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">2 tablespoons Mirin<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1\/2 cup honey<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">3\/4 cup water<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1 tablespoon sesame oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">4 cloves garlic (minced)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1 tablespoon minced ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1\/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">1 tablespoon cornstarch<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Garnish:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">Sesame seeds<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<h2 id=\"head-1\" class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">DIRECTIONS:<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Wings:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">Pat dry wings with paper towels until completely dry.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">Combine all the rub ingredients in a large bowl, add the wings and toss to combine. Brush with olive oil.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">Line a baking sheet with foil and then place parchment paper on top, arrange chicken wings in one layer, if needed use two baking sheets. Bake for 35 minutes turning at 20 minutes on the other side.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Honey Garlic Sauce:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">In the meantime, combine sauce ingredients in a small pan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes or until slightly thickened, and sauce coats the back of a spoon.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Combine Wings with the Sauce:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">Take wings from the oven, toss with sauce and return to the oven for another 10 minutes, turning after 5 minutes on the other side.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\"><span class=\"ns\">Broil for a few minutes.<\/span><\/li>\n<li class=\"ns\">Allow cooling for 10 minutes. As the sauce cools, it thickens.
