{"id":1947,"date":"2024-12-18T18:08:37","date_gmt":"2024-12-18T18:08:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/?p=1947"},"modified":"2024-12-18T18:08:37","modified_gmt":"2024-12-18T18:08:37","slug":"delicious-lasagna","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/breckas.com\/index.php\/2024\/12\/18\/delicious-lasagna\/","title":{"rendered":"Delicious Lasagna"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>For the Meat Sauce:<\/p>\n<p>450g minced beef (or a mix of beef and pork)<br \/>\n1 small onion, finely chopped<br \/>\n3 cloves garlic, minced<br \/>\n1 x 410g can of crushed tomatoes<br \/>\n30g tomato paste<br \/>\n1 x 410g can of tomato sauce<br \/>\n5g sugar<br \/>\n5g dried basil<br \/>\n5g dried oregano<br \/>\nSalt and pepper to taste<\/p>\n<p>For the Ricotta Mixture:<\/p>\n<p>425g ricotta cheese<br \/>\n1 large egg<br \/>\n60g grated Parmesan cheese<br \/>\n15g chopped fresh parsley (or 5g dried)<\/p>\n<p>Other Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p>12 lasagna noodles (cooked according to package instructions)<br \/>\n300 g shredded mozzarella cheese<br \/>\n125g grated Parmesan cheese for topping<\/p>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<p>Prepare the Meat Sauce:<\/p>\n<p>Heat a large pan over medium heat. Add ground beef, onion, and garlic. Cook until the beef is browned and the onion is tender. Drain excess fat.<\/p>\n<p>Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, sugar, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p>Prepare the Ricotta Mixture:<\/p>\n<p>In a medium bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Parmesan cheese, and parsley until combined.<\/p>\n<p>Preheat Oven:<\/p>\n<p>Preheat your oven to 190\u00b0C.<\/p>\n<p>Assemble the Lasagna<\/p>\n<p>Spread a thin layer of meat sauce at the bottom of a 20&#215;30 cm baking dish.<\/p>\n<p>Layer 3 cooked lasagna noodles over the sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Spread 1\/3 of the ricotta mixture over the noodles, then sprinkle with 1\/3 of the mozzarella cheese.<\/p>\n<p>Top with 1\/3 of the meat sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, ending with a layer of meat sauce.<\/p>\n<p>Sprinkle the top with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.<\/p>\n<p>Bake:<\/p>\n<p>Cover the dish with aluminum foil (sprayed with cooking spray to prevent sticking).<\/p>\n<p>Bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.<\/p>\n<p>Cool and Serve:<\/p>\n<p>Let the lasagna rest for 10-15 minutes before cutting into slices.
