Ingredients:
2 cups of strawberries in a frozen state.
1 cup of pineapple juice.
Half a cup of vanilla-flavored almond milk.
2 spoons of honey or agave syrup (optional, recommended for enhancing a sweet taste)
Directions:
Blend strawberries in frozen form with pineapple juice until they are crushed and turned to a smooth paste.
Combine vanilla almond milk and honey afterwards and blend to ensure a combination of ingredients to ensure the mixture is smooth.
If you think the mixture is too thick for you add almond milk and steadily blend until you are content with the thickness of the mixture.
You can immediately serve to get the creamy texture but if you want a firmer texture place the mixture in the freezer for around 30 minutes to an hour max and then serve.
Variations and Tips:
You can use different frozen fruits and pour in mango or peaches for a tropical taste or mixed berries for a yummy berry flavor.
If you want to substitute almond milk for something else, coconut or soy milk can be a nondairy option.
Some fresh lemon or lime juice would give a better zing.
If your children are fussy eaters, let them choose what fruits they want to be mixed in and involve them in the making of the dish instead!
