WENDY’S CHILI RECIPE

Ingredients:

2 pounds ground beef
1 liter (about 29 oz) tomato juice
1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes
1 can (15 ounces) red kidney beans, drained
1 can (15 ounces) beans, drained
1 onion, chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)
1/2 cup celery, diced
1/4 cup green bell pepper, diced
1/4 cup chili powder (adjust for mild chili)
1 teaspoon ground cumin (adjust for taste)
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Instructions:

Brown the Beef:
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef. Drain excess fat.
Combine Ingredients:
Transfer the browned beef and all remaining ingredients to a 6-quart saucepan.
Simmer:
Cover the saucepan and simmer the chili for 1 to 1½ hours, stirring every 15 minutes.
